Despite their regal appearance, Empire Gudgeons tend to be peaceful within their social circles, exhibiting minimal aggression, especially when provided with adequate space and hiding spots. However, it's advisable to avoid housing them with larger or aggressive species to maintain their tranquility. For aquarists, these fish are suitable for intermediate-level experience. Providing a well-maintained tank with stable water parameters is essential. Aim for temperatures between 72-78°F (22-26°C), pH levels ranging from 6.5 to 7.5, and moderate water flow.
