This species showcases a kaleidoscope of colors, ranging from deep blues and purples to vivid oranges and reds, making it a true spectacle in the aquatic world. Origin: Native to the coral reefs of the Indo-Pacific region, from the eastern coast of Africa to the central Pacific Ocean, the Exquisite Fairy Wrasse thrives in coral-rich environments. They are typically found at depths ranging from 3 to 60 meters, where they swim actively in search of food and shelter. Feeding: A carnivorous species, the Exquisite Fairy Wrasse's diet in the wild consists of small crustaceans and plankton. In the aquarium, they adapt well to a varied diet of high-quality marine flakes, frozen and live foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and other meaty foods. Feeding should occur 2-3 times daily to maintain optimal health and coloration. Tank Mates: This Wrasse is generally peaceful and can coexist with a wide variety of tank mates. Ideal companions include other non-aggressive fish, such as clownfish, gobies, and dartfish. It's important to introduce the Exquisite Fairy Wrasse to the aquarium last to prevent territorial disputes. Aggression: Exhibiting low aggression, the Exquisite Fairy Wrasse is a model citizen in a community tank. However, males can display territorial behaviors towards other Wrasses. Providing ample hiding spaces and a spacious tank can mitigate these behaviors. Experience Level: Suited for intermediate to advanced aquarists, the Exquisite Fairy Wrasse requires a stable, well-maintained marine environment.
