Fire Orange Shrimp Neocaridina 2cm Overview: The Fire Orange Shrimp, a striking variant of Neocaridina, captivates with its vibrant hue reminiscent of flickering flames. These hardy invertebrates add a burst of color to any aquarium, making them a popular choice among aquarists. Origin: Originally bred from the wild Neocaridina davidi species in the freshwater rivers of Taiwan, their intense orange coloration is a result of selective breeding efforts. Feeding: These shrimp thrive on a diet of algae, biofilm, and commercial shrimp pellets. Supplementing their diet with blanched vegetables like zucchini or spinach enhances their vitality and coloration. Tank Mates: Ideal for peaceful community tanks, Fire Orange Shrimp coexist harmoniously with similarly peaceful fish like small tetras, rasboras, and some dwarf cichlids. Avoid housing them with aggressive or larger species that might prey on them. Aggression: Peaceful and non-aggressive, Fire Orange Shrimp prefer a tranquil environment. They tend to be more active and display their vibrant colors in a stress-free habitat. Experience Level: Suited for aquarists of all levels, these shrimp are relatively easy to care for, making them an excellent choice for beginners while still appealing to experienced hobbyists due to their stunning appearance. Water Parameters: Maintain stable water parameters: pH around 6.5-7.5, temperature between 68-78°F (20-25°C), with moderate hardness (GH 6-8) and low ammoniaitrite levels.
