Overview:
The Pearl of the Orient Flowerhorn is a rare and exquisite strain admired for its intense pearling, striking metallic sheen, and deep red to pink base coloration. Its name reflects its origin as a treasured showcase fish in Asian breeding programs, where it is valued for both its beauty and symbolism of prosperity.

Origin:
Selective breeding in Malaysia and Thailand, developed from Kamfa and Zhen Zhu lineages, specifically for heavy pearling and balanced body structure.

Feeding:

• Staple: High-quality Flowerhorn pellets to support kok growth, color enhancement, and vitality.

• Supplements: Frozen krill, bloodworms, shrimp, and spirulina-based foods.

• Routine: Small meals 2–3 times daily to maintain optimal growth and health.

Tank Mates:

• Best kept alone due to its territorial and aggressive temperament.

• If housed with others, use only in very large, partitioned aquariums.

Aggression:
Highly territorial. Displays bold behavior, making it best as a solitary centerpiece fish.

Experience Level:
Intermediate to Advanced. Ideal for aquarists with prior Flowerhorn or cichlid experience.

• pH: 7.4–8.0

• Hardness: 8–20 dGH

• Minimum Tank Size: 75+ gallons (single specimen)
