Flowerhorn Cichlid – Platinum Kamfa

Overview:
The Platinum Kamfa Flowerhorn is one of the most sought-after strains in the Flowerhorn family, prized for its solid white to platinum body, intense pearling, and thick head (kok) development. Its shimmering metallic finish makes it a true showpiece fish, standing out among even the rarest Flowerhorns.

Origin:
Selective breeding of Kamfa lineages in Thailand and Malaysia, developed to emphasize snow-white body coloration, pearling density, and strong facial structure.

Feeding:

• Staple: Premium Flowerhorn pellets for kok growth, pearling, and color vibrancy.

• Supplements: Frozen krill, shrimp, bloodworms, and spirulina for enhanced health.

• Routine: 2–3 small feedings daily to prevent bloating.

Tank Mates:

• Best housed alone due to its high aggression and territorial behavior.

• If kept with others, must be in a very large, divided system.

Aggression:
Very aggressive. This fish is a true tank boss, best kept as a single specimen centerpiece.

Experience Level:
Advanced. Recommended for aquarists with experience handling large and aggressive cichlids.

• pH: 7.4–8.0

• Hardness: 8–20 dGH
