Frogfish Antennarius Biocellatus 10cm Overview: The Frogfish (Antennarius Biocellatus) is a fascinating and unique addition to any aquarium. Known for its distinctive appearance and intriguing behavior, these creatures captivate hobbyists with their camouflage abilities and ambush hunting tactics. Origin: Originating from the shallow waters of the Indo-Pacific region, Frogfish are found in areas with ample coral reefs and rocky habitats. Feeding: Feeding on small fish and crustaceans, Frogfish are voracious predators. In a tank setting, they eagerly accept live or frozen foods like shrimp, krill, and small feeder fish. Tank Mates: Best kept in a species-specific tank due to their carnivorous nature and unique feeding habits. Avoid pairing with small, delicate fish or invertebrates, as Frogfish might see them as prey. Aggression: While not inherently aggressive toward other species, Frogfish are ambush predators and may consume smaller tank mates if given the chance. Experience Level: Intermediate to advanced aquarists are recommended for keeping Frogfish. Their specific dietary needs and specialized care requirements demand careful attention. Water Parameters: Maintain stable water conditions with temperatures ranging from 75°F to 82°F (24°C to 28°C). pH levels should be around 8.1 to 8.4, and salinity between 1.020 to 1.025.
