Flowerhorn Cichlid – Full Pearl Luohan

Overview:
The Full Pearl Luohan Flowerhorn is a premium, show-quality strain known for its dense, full-body pearling, vibrant coloration, and classic Luohan-style head (kok). This strain combines majestic appearance with the strong personality typical of Flowerhorns, making it a striking centerpiece for any aquarium.

Origin:
Developed through selective breeding of Chinese Zhen Zhu and Luohan lines in Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam, focusing on pearling density, kok development, and overall body symmetry.

Feeding:

• Staple: High-quality Flowerhorn pellets designed for growth and color enhancement.

• Supplements: Shrimp, krill, bloodworms, and spirulina-based foods to boost red and pink hues and maintain healthy pearling.

• Routine: 2–3 small feedings daily to prevent overfeeding.

Tank Mates:

• Best kept alone due to territorial aggression.

• Can cohabit only with other large, equally aggressive cichlids in well-divided tanks.

Aggression:
Highly territorial and dominant. This strain thrives as a solo display fish.

Experience Level:
Intermediate to Advanced. Recommended for aquarists familiar with Flowerhorns or other large, aggressive cichlids.
