Overview:
The Full Pearl Super Red Star Flowerhorn is a striking and highly sought-after modern strain, celebrated for its intense crimson body coloration combined with dense, glittering pearling that covers nearly the entire body and fins. The “Super Red” signifies its deep red pigmentation, while “Full Pearl” refers to the heavy metallic scaling. This variety is a show-quality Flowerhorn, bred to impress both casual hobbyists and serious collectors.

Origin:
Selective crossbreeding of Zhen Zhu (Pearl) lineage with red-enhanced Flowerhorn strains in Thailand and Malaysia, resulting in superior pearling and vivid color.

Feeding:

• Primary diet: High-quality Flowerhorn pellets designed for kok growth, color, and pearling.

• Supplements: Frozen krill, bloodworms, and shrimp to enhance color and condition.

• Feeding tip: Avoid overfeeding; their dense pearling and reds develop best with controlled portions 2–3 times daily.

Tank Mates:
Best housed alone. If kept with others, only pair with equally aggressive and large cichlids, and always in a very spacious tank.

Aggression:
Very aggressive and territorial. This strain exhibits the typical dominance of Flowerhorns, often attacking tank mates.

Experience Level:
Intermediate to Advanced. Requires large tank space, excellent filtration, and routine maintenance to sustain its vibrant appearance and health.

• Hardness: 8–20 dGH

• Minimum Tank Size: 75+ gallons for a single adult
