Overview

Gin Rin Butterfly Classic Koi Carp are highly prized ornamental koi known for their brilliant, diamond-like reflective scales (Gin Rin) combined with long, flowing butterfly fins. Their shimmering sparkle catches the light beautifully, making them one of the most eye-catching koi varieties in any pond or large aquarium.

Origin

Japan – selectively bred for ornamental ponds

Feeding

• Omnivorous: thrives on high-quality koi pellets, flakes, and occasional fresh vegetables or live foods

• Feed 1–2 times daily in controlled portions

Tank / Pond Requirements

• Best suited for outdoor ponds or very large indoor systems

• Minimum pond size: 1,000 liters for adult specimens

• Requires strong filtration and good water circulation

Aggression

• Peaceful and social

• Compatible with other koi and similarly sized pond fish
