Overview:
The Grade A Escondido Red Texas Cichlid is a stunning hybrid known for its intense red to orange body coloration, overlaid with shimmering blue and white pearling. As one of the most sought-after designer cichlids, this Red Texas variant displays the perfect blend of vibrancy, body mass, and aggression that cichlid enthusiasts crave. Origin:
This fish is a selectively bred hybrid, typically combining the Herichthys cyanoguttatus (Texas Cichlid) with species like Amphilophus or Vieja to produce the vibrant red base and strong pearling. The Escondido strain is known for retaining high color saturation and a well-balanced body shape.

Feeding:
Omnivorous and aggressive feeders, Red Texas Cichlids thrive on a high-protein diet. Feed quality cichlid pellets, krill, bloodworms, chopped shrimp, and vegetable matter (like spirulina flakes or blanched spinach) to enhance both health and color.

Tank Mates:
