Green Furry Mushroom Colony Rhodactis Indosinensis The Green Furry Mushroom Colony (Rhodactis indosinensis) is a vibrant and unique soft coral that originates from the Indo-Pacific region. This colony features a cluster of individual polyps with a fuzzy, hairy appearance and a green coloration that can range from pale to fluorescent hues. Rhodactis indosinensis is considered a hardy and peaceful mushroom coral that is suitable for both beginner and experienced aquarium hobbyists. These corals thrive in low to moderate water flow and lighting conditions, making them a great addition to the lower or middle sections of a reef tank. As filter feeders, the Green Furry Mushroom Colony does not require direct feeding, as it obtains its nutrients from the water column and photosynthesis via its symbiotic zooxanthellae algae. This coral can be kept with a variety of peaceful tank mates, such as small fish, shrimp, and other invertebrates, as it is not known to be aggressive. To ensure the optimal care and growth of this coral, it is recommended to maintain a stable water temperature between 72-82°F, a pH of 8.1-8.4, and moderate calcium and alkalinity levels. Regular water changes and a well-established protein skimmer are also essential for maintaining the health of the Green Furry Mushroom ColonyAbove images for illustration purposes only.
