Green Laser Corydoras SP CW009 3cm Catfish Overview: The Green Laser Corydoras, scientifically known as Corydoras sp. 'CW010', is a captivating and peaceful freshwater fish, renowned for its vibrant green laser-like stripe running along its body. This small, yet active species reaches up to 2.5 inches in length, making it an ideal choice for community aquariums. Its charming behavior and ease of care have made it a favorite among aquarists. Origin: Native to the small tributaries and creeks of South America, particularly in Peru, the Green Laser Corydoras thrives in soft, slightly acidic water conditions. They are often found in shallow, slow-moving waters with sandy or muddy bottoms, where they forage for food. Feeding: These omnivorous bottom dwellers are not picky eaters. Their diet should include high-quality sinking pellets or tablets, along with occasional offerings of live or frozen foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, or daphnia. It's important to ensure that food reaches the bottom of the tank, where they prefer to feed. Tank Mates: Green Laser Corydoras are best kept in groups of at least six, as they are social and enjoy the company of their own kind. They can be housed with a variety of peaceful community fish such as small tetras, rasboras, guppies, and other non-aggressive species. Avoid keeping them with large, aggressive fish that may bully or harm them. Aggression: This species is known for its peaceful and gregarious nature. They are not aggressive towards other fish and are often seen actively exploring the bottom of the tank in search of food or resting in groups. Experience Level: Ideal for both beginners and experienced aquarists, Green Laser Corydoras are hardy and relatively easy to care for. Their adaptability and undemanding nature make them a great choice for those new to fish keeping.
