Guenther's Butterfly Fish – Chaetodon guentheri

Overview:
Guenther's Butterfly Fish is a graceful marine species with a silver-white body patterned with fine spots and subtle yellow accents on its fins. Known for its calm nature and attractive appearance, it makes a refined addition to larger community and reef aquariums.

Origin:
Native to the Western Pacific Ocean, including the Philippines, Indonesia, and northern Australia.

Feeding:
Omnivorous — accepts frozen or live mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, finely chopped seafood, and high-quality marine flakes or pellets, supplemented with marine algae.

Tank Mates:
Best housed with peaceful to moderately active reef and community species, avoiding overly aggressive or territorial tank mates.

Aggression:
Peaceful, though may show mild territorial behavior in smaller aquariums.

Experience Level:
Recommended for intermediate aquarists, as they adapt well with proper diet and stable water conditions.

• Temperature: 74–80°F (23–27°C)

• pH: 8.1–8.4

• Salinity: 1.020–1.025

• Minimum Tank Size: 75+ gallons
