Hariwake Butterfly Grade A Koi Carp (Cyprinus carpio)

Overview:
The Hariwake Butterfly Grade A Koi is a beautiful ornamental koi featuring a bright, metallic body with striking yellow and white coloration. Its long, flowing butterfly fins and bold, clean color separation make it a premium, eye-catching addition to any pond.

Origin:
Originating from Japan, the Hariwake variety is known for its crisp color contrast and metallic sheen. This Grade A butterfly specimen has been selectively bred for superior color clarity, balanced patterning, and elegant finnage.

Feeding:
Omnivorous. Feed high-quality, color-enhancing koi pellets as a staple, supplemented with vegetables, shrimp, or seasonal treats. Feed 1–2 times daily during warmer months.

Tank / Pond Mates:
Peaceful and social. Best kept with other koi or calm, similarly sized pond fish such as goldfish.

Temperament / Aggression:
Very peaceful and non-aggressive, making it ideal for mixed koi ponds.

Experience Level:
Beginner to advanced. Hardy and adaptable, though optimal water quality, filtration, and adequate space are essential to maintain Grade A condition.

• Temperature: 10–25°C (50–77°F)

• pH: 6.5–8.5

• Water Type: Freshwater

• Minimum Pond Size: 1,000+ gallons recommended
