Origin: Native to the freshwater rivers and streams of Southeast Asia, specifically found in regions like Thailand and Malaysia, these fish thrive in clear, slow-moving waters. Feeding: These omnivorous beauties readily accept high-quality flake food, frozen or live fare like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and small insects. A varied diet ensures their optimal health and coloration. Tank Mates: Best suited for community tanks with other peaceful species like small tetras, rasboras, or other non-aggressive fish. Avoid pairing them with larger, aggressive tank mates that might intimidate or outcompete them during feeding. Aggression: Known for their gentle nature, Humphead Glass Fish Perchlets exhibit minimal aggression, making them ideal for tranquil community setups. However, they can be timid, so provide plenty of hiding spots among plants or decorations. Experience Level: Intermediate aquarists will find these fish rewarding to care for due to their specific dietary needs and sensitivity to water parameters.
