Indian Glass Fish Parambassis Ranga 3cm Overview: The Indian Glass Fish, scientifically known as Parambassis Ranga, is a captivating and transparent freshwater species originating from the river systems of India and Southeast Asia. Known for its translucent appearance and peaceful nature, it adds a unique touch of elegance to any aquarium. Origin: Originating from slow-moving rivers and streams of India, Bangladesh, and Myanmar, these fish thrive in slightly acidic to neutral water conditions. Feeding: Indian Glass Fish are omnivores and enjoy a varied diet consisting of small live or frozen foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and high-quality flake or pellet food. Tank Mates: Due to their peaceful demeanor, Indian Glass Fish make excellent tank mates for other peaceful community fish such as tetras, rasboras, and peaceful bottom dwellers like Corydoras catfish. They prefer being in groups of five or more for comfort and security. Aggression: These fish are remarkably peaceful and rarely exhibit aggressive behavior, making them ideal for community tanks. However, they might display some territorial behaviors if the tank is too small or overcrowded. Experience Level: Indian Glass Fish are suitable for aquarists of various experience levels, as they are relatively hardy and adaptable to various water conditions. Water Parameters: Optimal conditions for Indian Glass Fish include a temperature range of 72-78°F (22-26°C), a pH level between 6.0-7.5, and moderately soft to slightly hard water.
