Jerdons Carp Barb Hypselobarbus Jerdoni 8cm "Introducing the Jerdons Carp Barb (Hypselobarbus jerdoni), a stunning and active addition to any freshwater aquarium. Originating from the rivers and streams of India, this species boasts vibrant coloration and a spirited demeanor, making it a captivating centerpiece. Feeding on a varied diet including high-quality flakes, pellets, and occasional live or frozen treats, these barbs are omnivorous and thrive on a balanced intake. When it comes to tank mates, they coexist peacefully with similarly sized non-aggressive species such as rasboras, loaches, and peaceful cichlids. Their social nature shines in groups of six or more. While generally peaceful, they may exhibit territorial behavior during breeding periods. However, with ample space and hiding spots, aggression remains minimal. An intermediate experience level is recommended for keeping Jerdons Carp Barbs, as they thrive in well-maintained tanks with stable water parameters. Aim for a pH range of 6.5-7.5, a temperature between 72-78°F (22-26°C), and moderate water flow.Above images for illustration purposes only.
