• Overview: The Jewel Peacock Wrasse is a beautiful and active fish, making it a great addition to a reef aquarium.
• Origin: This species is found in the wild.
• Feeding Habits: They require frequent feedings with a variety of meaty foods to keep them healthy. They constantly hunt for small invertebrates in the rock, sand, and among the corals.
• Suitable Tank Mates: It must be kept with appropriate tank mates, as it does not tolerate aggressive fish well.
• Aggression Level: This species is peaceful and does not pose a risk to coral or motile invertebrates.
• Recommended Experience Level: Considered challenging to adapt to a captive environment, it is suitable for experienced reef aquarists who can provide the proper care and environment for the fish to thrive.
• Necessary Water Parameters: Optimal care requires specific physical parameters such as the size of the aquarium, amount of swimming space, live rock, corals, caves, sand beds, water flow, and lighting. Supplementary feeding several times a day with a variety of food is essential for their health. Additionally, the aquarium must be fully covered to prevent jumping.
