Kamohara Fang Blenny – Meiacanthus kamoharai

Overview:
The Kamohara Fang Blenny is a small, striking marine fish known for its slender body, vibrant coloration, and venomous fangs used for defense. Peaceful toward most tank mates, it is an active and captivating addition to reef and community aquariums.

Origin:
Native to the Western Pacific Ocean, including Japan, Taiwan, and Indonesia.

Feeding:
Omnivorous — thrives on high-quality marine flakes or pellets, frozen mysis and brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood.

Tank Mates:
Ideal for peaceful reef and community tanks, compatible with gobies, clownfish, damselfish, and other non-aggressive species. Avoid housing with very small fish that may trigger defensive behavior.

Aggression:
Generally peaceful, but may bite defensively if threatened.

Experience Level:
Recommended for intermediate aquarists, due to their venomous defense and active nature.
