Kawarimono Butterfly Grade A Koi Carp (Cyprinus carpio)

Overview:
The Kawarimono Butterfly Grade A Koi is a premium ornamental koi known for its unique coloration, refined patterning, and elegant long fins. As a Grade A specimen, it displays superior color clarity, balance, and overall body quality, making it a standout feature in any high-quality pond display.

Origin:
Originating from Japan, the Kawarimono classification includes koi with distinctive, non-traditional patterns. This Grade A butterfly variety has been selectively bred for enhanced coloration, symmetry, and flowing fin structure.

Feeding:
Omnivorous. Feed high-quality koi pellets formulated for color enhancement, supplemented with vegetables, shrimp, or seasonal treats. Feed 1–2 times daily during warmer months.

Tank / Pond Mates:
Peaceful and social. Best kept with other koi or similarly sized, calm pond fish such as goldfish.

Temperament / Aggression:
Very peaceful and non-aggressive, making it ideal for mixed community ponds.

Experience Level:
Beginner to advanced. Hardy and adaptable, though proper filtration, water quality, and pond space are essential to maintain Grade A condition.

• pH: 6.5–8.5

• Water Type: Freshwater

• Minimum Pond Size: 1,000+ gallons recommended
