The Kin Ki Utsuri Butterfly Japanese Koi is a striking ornamental koi featuring a metallic gold base with bold black patterning, enhanced by long, flowing butterfly fins. Its shimmering scales and elegant movement make it a captivating and luxurious addition to any premium pond.

Origin:
Originating from Japan, the Kin Ki Utsuri is a metallic variation of the traditional Utsurimono line, valued for its striking contrast and reflective coloration. The butterfly-fin form adds grace and fluidity, highlighting the koi’s refined elegance.

Feeding:
Omnivorous. Feed high-quality, color-enhancing koi pellets as a staple, supplemented with vegetables, shrimp, or seasonal treats. Feed 1–2 times daily during warmer months.

Tank / Pond Mates:
Peaceful and social. Best kept with other koi or calm, similarly sized pond fish such as goldfish.

Temperament / Aggression:
Very peaceful and non-aggressive, ideal for mixed koi ponds.

Experience Level:
Beginner to advanced. Hardy and adaptable, though maintaining optimal water quality and sufficient pond space is essential for vibrant coloration and overall health.
