Kitty Tetra Hyphessobrycon Heliacus 2cm Overview: The Kitty Tetra, renowned for its striking iridescent hues and peaceful demeanor, adds a vibrant allure to any aquarium. Originating from the freshwater rivers and tributaries of South America, this schooling fish captivates with its shimmering colors and graceful movements. Origin: Native to the Amazon basin and other regions of South America, the Kitty Tetra thrives in warm, soft, and slightly acidic waters. Its natural habitat comprises densely vegetated areas within slow-moving streams and rivers. Feeding: A versatile omnivore, the Kitty Tetra readily accepts high-quality flake food, live or frozen brine shrimp, bloodworms, and small insects. Offering a varied diet ensures optimal health and vibrant coloration. Tank Mates: Known for its peaceful nature, the Kitty Tetra thrives when kept in schools of five or more individuals. Ideal tank mates include other peaceful species like other tetras, rasboras, dwarf cichlids, and small catfish. Avoid housing them with aggressive or fin-nipping fish. Aggression: With a gentle temperament, the Kitty Tetra is non-aggressive and interacts peacefully with other tank inhabitants. However, it's essential to provide ample hiding spots among plants or driftwood to alleviate stress. Experience Level: Suitable for aquarists of various experience levels, including beginners, given their adaptable nature. Regular water maintenance and a well-established tank promote their well-being. Water Parameters:
