Overview:
The Kujaku Butterfly Japanese Koi is a stunning ornamental koi featuring a metallic-scaled body with a mix of white, red, and blue-grey hues, complemented by long, flowing butterfly fins. Its shimmering iridescence and elegant swimming make it a captivating centerpiece in any premium pond.

Origin:
Originating from Japan, the Kujaku variety is prized for its metallic sheen and delicate, intricate patterns. The butterfly-fin form adds fluidity and grace while highlighting the koi’s reflective scales and vibrant colors.

Feeding:
Omnivorous. Feed high-quality, color-enhancing koi pellets as a staple, supplemented with vegetables, shrimp, or seasonal treats. Feed 1–2 times daily during warmer months.

Tank / Pond Mates:
Peaceful and social. Best kept with other koi or calm, similarly sized pond fish such as goldfish.

Temperament / Aggression:
Very peaceful and non-aggressive, ideal for mixed koi ponds.

Experience Level:
Beginner to advanced. Hardy and adaptable, though maintaining excellent water quality and sufficient pond space is essential for vibrant coloration and overall health.

• Water Type: Freshwater

• Minimum Pond Size: 1,000+ gallons recommended
