Overview: The L235 Anthrax Flash Flat Flyer Pleco is a striking fish, known for its dark body adorned with vibrant white or yellow spots that create a starry night effect. It typically reaches a size of up to 6 inches (15 cm) in captivity, making it a manageable size for many aquariums. Origin: This species originates from the fast-flowing rivers and streams of Venezuela, specifically within the Orinoco River basin. Its natural habitat is characterized by rocky substrates and strong currents, conditions that should be mimicked in the aquarium to make these fish feel at home. Feeding: The L235 Pleco is primarily herbivorous, with a diet in the wild consisting of algae and biofilm growing on river rocks. In captivity, their diet should include high-quality algae wafers, blanched vegetables (such as zucchini, cucumber, and peas), and occasional treats of protein-based foods. Providing a variety of foods will ensure optimal health and coloration. Tank Mates: Ideal tank mates include peaceful to semi-aggressive fish that thrive in similar water conditions.
