L27c Golden Line Royal Pleco Panaque Ambrusteri Jamanxim Overview: The L27c Golden Line Royal Pleco, scientifically known as Panaque ambrusteri Jamanxim, is a stunning and sought-after species in the aquarium hobby, cherished for its unique golden stripes against a dark body. This large and robust pleco can reach lengths of up to 15-20 inches, making it a striking centerpiece for suitable aquariums. Origin: Native to the fast-flowing, oxygen-rich rivers and tributaries of the Amazon Basin in South America, particularly around the Jamanxim River, this pleco is adapted to environments with strong currents and plenty of hiding spots. Feeding: Primarily herbivorous, the Golden Line Royal Pleco has a diet consisting mostly of wood, algae, and vegetable matter. Supplementing with high-quality pleco tablets, fresh vegetables, and occasional protein sources will ensure they receive all necessary nutrients. Tank Mates: Compatible with many large and peaceful fish species, as well as smaller, non-aggressive community fish.
