Origin: Native to the fast-flowing rivers and streams of Colombia, the Rusty Pleco thrives in environments with plenty of hiding spaces among rocks and driftwood. Its natural habitat informs the care and setup of aquariums for this species. Feeding: Primarily herbivorous, the L310 Rusty Pleco's diet should consist of high-quality plant-based foods. Offer a variety of algae wafers, vegetables (such as zucchini, cucumber, and lettuce), and occasional treats of fruit. Ensure a balanced diet to keep them healthy and their color vibrant. Tank Mates: This species is generally peaceful and can be housed with a wide range of tank mates. Ideal companions include small to medium-sized tetras, rasboras, and other non-aggressive fish.
