L340 Mega Clown Pleco Hypancistrus Sp 6cm Overview: The L340 Mega Clown Pleco is a captivating and relatively rare species in the aquarium trade, cherished for its striking black and white pattern. This dwarf pleco remains small, making it an excellent choice for aquarists looking to add some personality to their tank without needing a vast amount of space. Origin: Native to the fast-flowing rivers of Venezuela, the L340 thrives in environments with plenty of hiding spots and strong water flow, mimicking its natural habitat. Feeding: Primarily a carnivore, the L340 Mega Clown Pleco has a diet that contrasts with many other plecos. It requires a variety of foods, including high-quality sinking pellets, frozen or live foods such as bloodworms, and occasional vegetable matter to ensure a balanced diet. Tank Mates: This species is best kept with small to medium-sized, peaceful fish. Ideal tank mates include tetras, rasboras, and other small catfish. Its peaceful nature makes it a great community tank member, provided its tank mates are not overly aggressive. Aggression: The L340 is generally peaceful and shy. It may show territorial behavior towards other bottom-dwellers, especially other plecos, so it's advisable to provide ample hiding places to prevent stress. Experience Level: Intermediate.
