L76 Red Fin Tiger Pleco Pecktolia Cavatica 6cm Overview: The L76 Red Fin Tiger Peckoltia Cavatica, also known as the Red Fin Tiger Pleco, is a strikingly patterned freshwater fish that captivates with its unique coloration and peaceful demeanor. Its body is adorned with dark bands that contrast beautifully against its lighter base color, and its fins showcase vibrant red hues that make it a standout in any aquarium. Origin: This exotic species is native to the rivers and tributaries of South America, thriving in the fast-flowing waters of the Amazon Basin. They are accustomed to environments with plenty of hiding spots, such as driftwood and rock crevices, which replicate their natural habitat. Feeding: The L76 Red Fin Tiger Pleco is primarily an herbivore, with a diet that should be rich in high-quality vegetable-based foods. Algae wafers, blanched vegetables (such as zucchini and spinach), and sinking pellets are ideal. Occasional offerings of meaty foods can be included to diversify their diet. Tank Mates: Ideal tank mates include small to medium-sized, peaceful fish. Avoid overly aggressive species that might stress or harm the plecos. Tetras, rasboras, and other gentle community fish make excellent companions. Ensure the tank is spacious enough to accommodate all inhabitants comfortably. Aggression: This species is known for its peaceful nature and is unlikely to show aggression towards tank mates. However, they can be territorial with other bottom-dwellers, especially of the same species, so it's crucial to provide ample space and hiding spots to minimize conflict. Experience Level: The L76 Red Fin Tiger Pleco is suitable for aquarists of intermediate experience. While not overly demanding, they do require stable water conditions and a specific diet to thrive. • Hardness: 6-10 dGH
• Water flow: Moderate to high to mimic their natural habitat.
