Lemon Damsel – Amblyglyphidodon aureus
Overview:
The Lemon Damsel is a bright and cheerful reef fish, featuring a vivid yellow body with subtle hints of blue along the fins and face. Hardy and active, it adds a splash of color and lively movement to any marine aquarium.
Origin:
Native to the Indo-Pacific, commonly found on coral-rich reefs and lagoons.
Feeding:
Omnivorous – thrives on marine flakes, pellets, frozen mysis, brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood. A varied diet promotes vibrant coloration and overall health.
Tank Mates:
Peaceful to semi-aggressive – compatible with other hardy reef fish. Reef-safe with corals and invertebrates, though may defend its territory against smaller, timid fish.
Aggression:
Mildly territorial, especially in smaller tanks, but generally peaceful for a damselfish.
Experience Level:
Beginner-friendly, making it an ideal choice for new marine aquarists.
