Corydoras CW45 Lessex 4cm Catfish Overview: The Corydoras Lessex, also known as the Lessex Cory, is a captivating and peaceful freshwater fish popular among aquarists. Renowned for its unique patterns and amiable nature, this species is a delightful addition to any community aquarium. Typically reaching a size of about 2-2.5 inches, they are perfect for both novice and experienced fish keepers. Origin: Native to South America, particularly in the waterways of Venezuela, the Corydoras Lessex thrives in slow-moving rivers and streams. Their natural habitat is characterized by soft, sandy bottoms with plenty of hiding places among rocks and vegetation. Feeding: Omnivorous by nature, the Lessex Cory prefers a varied diet consisting of high-quality sinking pellets, flake foods, and occasional treats like brine shrimp or bloodworms. Their scavenging behavior helps keep the aquarium clean by consuming leftover food that falls to the bottom. Tank Mates: Ideal tank mates for Corydoras Lessex include other peaceful and small to medium-sized fish. They do well with tetras, rasboras, and other non-aggressive species. Keeping them in groups of at least six will help maintain their social and active behavior. Aggression: These Corydoras are known for their gentle and non-aggressive demeanor. They are a schooling species that prefers the company of their own kind and shows no territorial behavior, making them excellent community fish. Experience Level: Suitable for all levels of aquarists, Corydoras Lessex are relatively easy to care for.
