Corydoras Nanus 4cm Catfish Overview: The Corydoras Nanus, a delightful and peaceful small catfish, is an excellent addition to any freshwater aquarium. Its charming appearance, with a silver body and dark markings, brings a unique aesthetic to the tank. These bottom dwellers are known for their playful behavior and are often seen rummaging through the substrate. Origin: Native to South America, particularly in the waterways of Peru and Ecuador, Corydoras Nanus thrives in river basins with plenty of vegetation and soft substrates. Feeding: Omnivorous by nature, they readily accept a variety of foods. A balanced diet for them should include high-quality sinking pellets, flakes, and occasional treats like frozen or live brine shrimp and bloodworms. Tank Mates: Corydoras Nanus are sociable fish and prefer the company of their own species. They do well in community tanks with other peaceful fish such as small tetras, rasboras, and guppies. Avoid housing them with large or aggressive species. Aggression: These fish are notably peaceful and pose no threat to their tank mates. They are more likely to be bullied by larger fish, so tank mate selection is important. Experience Level: Ideal for beginners and experienced aquarists alike, Corydoras Nanus are hardy and relatively easy to care for, making them a great choice for those new to the hobby.
