Long Fin Harlequin Rasbora Trigonostigma Heteromorpha Overview: The Long Fin Harlequin Rasbora is a stunning variant of the popular Harlequin Rasbora, featuring elongated, flowing fins that add an elegant touch to its already vibrant appearance. With its shimmering copper body and distinctive black triangular patch, this peaceful schooling fish brings beauty and harmony to any community aquarium. Origin: Native to the slow-moving rivers, streams, and peat swamps of Southeast Asia, particularly in Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia, the Long Fin Harlequin Rasbora thrives in soft, acidic waters rich in vegetation. Feeding: Long Fin Harlequin Rasboras are omnivorous and should be fed a varied diet that includes high-quality flake or micro pellet foods, along with occasional live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms. A well-rounded diet ensures their vibrant colors and overall health. Tank Mates: These peaceful fish are ideal for community tanks and can be kept with other small, non-aggressive species such as tetras, danios, guppies, and small catfish like Corydoras. They do best in groups of six or more, which encourages natural schooling behavior and reduces stress. Aggression: Long Fin Harlequin Rasboras are known for their peaceful nature and exhibit little to no aggression. They are excellent tank mates for other peaceful fish and are unlikely to cause conflicts in a well-maintained community aquarium. Experience Level: Beginner to Intermediate. Due to their hardy and easygoing nature, Long Fin Harlequin Rasboras are suitable for aquarists of all experience levels. They are relatively low-maintenance and adaptable to a range of tank conditions. Water Parameters: To keep Long Fin Harlequin Rasboras healthy and thriving, maintain water temperatures between 72-78°F (22-26°C), a pH of 6.0-7.5, and soft to moderately soft water (2-12 dGH). Regular water changes and stable water conditions are important for their well-being. In summary, the Long Fin Harlequin Rasbora is a graceful and colorful fish that adds elegance and tranquility to any community aquarium. With their peaceful nature and striking appearance, they are a delightful choice for aquarists of all levels.Above images for illustration purposes only.
