Overview

The Long Fin Super Red Bristlenose Pleco is a striking and sought-after variety of the Ancistrus species, known for its vibrant red coloration and dramatic long fins. Origin

Native to the Amazon Basin in South America, these plecos have adapted to a variety of water conditions, making them resilient and suitable for home aquariums. The Super Red variant is the result of selective breeding, enhancing its unique color and finnage.

Feeding

Primarily herbivorous, their diet should include high-quality algae wafers, blanched vegetables (such as zucchini, cucumber, and peas), and occasional protein sources like brine shrimp or bloodworms. Ensure a varied diet for optimal health and coloration.

Tank Mates

Ideal for community tanks, they coexist peacefully with most fish. Suitable companions include small to medium-sized tetras, rasboras, gouramis, and other peaceful community fish. Avoid aggressive species that may stress or harm them.

Aggression
