Metallic Orange Classic Koi Carp (Cyprinus carpio)

Overview:
The Metallic Orange Classic Koi is a vibrant and eye-catching ornamental koi, featuring a rich, shimmering orange body with a smooth metallic sheen. Its bold coloration and classic koi body shape make it a striking focal point in any pond setting.

Origin:
Originating from Japan, metallic koi varieties are prized for their luminous scales and strong, uniform coloration. The classic fin style enhances the koi’s powerful swimming form and timeless appearance.

Feeding:
Omnivorous. Feed high-quality, color-enhancing koi pellets as a staple, supplemented with vegetables, shrimp, or seasonal treats. Feed 1–2 times daily during warmer months.

Tank / Pond Mates:
Peaceful and social. Best kept with other koi or calm, similarly sized pond fish such as goldfish.

Temperament / Aggression:
Very peaceful and non-aggressive, making it ideal for mixed koi ponds.

Experience Level:
Beginner to advanced. Hardy and adaptable, suitable for both new and experienced koi keepers when provided with good water quality and adequate space.

Water Parameters:

• Temperature: 10–25°C (50–77°F)

• pH: 6.5–8.5

• Water Type: Freshwater

• Minimum Pond Size: 1,000+ gallons recommended
