Molly Miller Blenny – Scartella cristata
Overview:
The Molly Miller Blenny is a small, hardy marine fish with a mottled brown body and distinctive personality. Known for its active swimming and playful behavior, it is a popular choice for reef and community aquariums.
Origin:
Native to the Western Atlantic Ocean, including the Caribbean Sea, Gulf of Mexico, and Florida Keys.
Feeding:
Omnivorous — enjoys algae, high-quality marine flakes or pellets, frozen mysis and brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood. Regular grazing helps maintain both health and tank cleanliness.
Tank Mates:
Ideal for peaceful reef and community tanks, compatible with gobies, clownfish, blennies, and other non-aggressive species.
Aggression:
Peaceful, generally non-territorial, though may defend small crevice spaces.
Experience Level:
Suitable for beginner to intermediate aquarists, thanks to its hardy nature and easy care requirements.
