Overview

The Olive Bristleworm-Eating Snail is a small, elongated marine snail known for its glossy, patterned shell and effective predation on nuisance bristleworms. Peaceful and reef-safe toward corals and fish, it helps control pest populations while adding natural beauty to the aquarium.

Origin

Native to the Indo-Pacific region, Oliva species are commonly found on sandy and rubble substrates, where they actively hunt bristleworms and other small invertebrates.

Feeding

Carnivorous, specializing in bristleworms and small worms in the substrate. Will also scavenge leftover meaty foods. Provides natural pest control in reef tanks.

Tank Mates

Reef-safe with fish, corals, and other invertebrates. Avoid predatory fish or crabs that may attack the snail.

Aggression

Peaceful toward non-target species. Aggressive only toward its natural prey, bristleworms.

Experience Level

Ideal for beginner to intermediate aquarists seeking a natural pest-control solution. Requires sandy substrate for hunting and a mature reef environment.
