Personifer Angelfish – Chaetodontoplus meredithi

Overview:
The Personifer Angelfish, also known as Meredith’s Angelfish, is a large and highly sought-after species featuring a deep black body contrasted with a yellow face and tail. Hardy and majestic, it makes an impressive centerpiece in spacious marine aquariums.

Origin:
Native to the Great Barrier Reef and eastern Australia.

Feeding:
Omnivorous — requires a varied diet of high-quality angelfish preparations, sponge-based foods, spirulina, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and chopped seafood.

Tank Mates:
Best suited to large community aquariums with robust species such as tangs, Wrasses, and triggers. Not considered reef-safe as they may nip corals and invertebrates.

Aggression:
Semi-aggressive — may show territorial behavior, particularly toward other angelfish.

Experience Level:
Recommended for advanced aquarists due to their size, dietary needs, and territorial tendencies.

Water Parameters:

• Temperature: 72–78°F (22–26°C)

• pH: 8.1–8.4

• Salinity: 1.020–1.025

• Minimum Tank Size: 220+ gallons
