Platinum Butterfly Japanese Koi Carp (Cyprinus carpio)

Overview:
The Platinum Butterfly Japanese Koi is a striking ornamental koi featuring a sleek, solid metallic white body with a radiant sheen. Its long, flowing butterfly fins enhance its elegance, making it a refined and eye-catching centerpiece for any premium pond.

Origin:
Originating from Japan, the Platinum variety is prized for its pure, reflective coloration and smooth, uniform appearance. This butterfly-fin form combines traditional Japanese breeding with graceful finnage for an exceptionally elegant display.

Feeding:
Omnivorous. Feed high-quality, color-enhancing koi pellets as a staple, supplemented with vegetables, shrimp, or seasonal treats. Feed 1–2 times daily during warmer months.

Tank / Pond Mates:
Peaceful and social. Best kept with other koi or calm, similarly sized pond fish such as goldfish.

Temperament / Aggression:
Very peaceful and non-aggressive, ideal for mixed koi ponds.

Experience Level:
Beginner to advanced. Hardy and adaptable, though maintaining excellent water quality and adequate pond space is essential for long-term health and color brilliance.

• Water Type: Freshwater

• Minimum Pond Size: 1,000+ gallons recommended
