Pseudotropheus Polit Lions Cove Malawi African Cichlid "Introducing the vibrant Pseudotropheus Polit Lions Cove Malawi African Cichlid, a stunning addition to any freshwater aquarium. Originating from the rocky shores of Lake Malawi, Africa, this species boasts brilliant colors, with males displaying striking blue and black patterns, while females exhibit a lovely gold hue. Feeding these cichlids is a breeze as they readily accept high-quality cichlid pellets or flakes supplemented with occasional treats like spirulina, vegetables, and live or frozen foods. Best housed in a species-specific tank or a well-decorated setup with ample hiding spots and rock formations to establish territories. While they can coexist with other Lake Malawi cichlids, it's crucial to avoid mixing them with similarly colored or aggressive species to prevent territorial conflicts. Their moderate to high aggression level means careful selection of tank mates is essential. Intermediate to experienced aquarists will appreciate their active behavior and fascinating social dynamics. Maintaining stable water parameters is key. Aim for a pH of 7.5-8.5, temperature between 76-82°F (24-28°C), and hard alkaline water with regular water changes to replicate their natural habitat. Bring home the captivating Pseudotropheus Polit Lions Cove Malawi African Cichlid and add a burst of color and energy to your aquatic haven!"
