Purple Frilly Gorgonia Pseudopterogorgia Elisabethae The Purple Frilly Gorgonia Pseudopterogorgia Elisabethae is a stunning soft coral species native to the Caribbean Sea. It features a vibrant purple coloration and a delicate, frilly appearance. This Gorgonia is a filter feeder, capturing plankton and other small particles from the water column. It is generally peaceful and can be kept with a variety of other reef-safe invertebrates and small fish. However, it requires an experienced aquarist to maintain, as it has specific water parameter needs. The ideal water temperature should be between 72-82°F, with a pH of 8.1-8.4, and moderate water flow. Proper lighting, such as LED or T5 fluorescent, is also crucial for its growth and coloration. This Gorgonia is not recommended for beginners, as it can be challenging to care for and may be sensitive to changes in water quality.
