Overview

The Red and Black Wakin Goldfish is a striking, long-bodied goldfish variety featuring a bold combination of deep red, white, and black coloration. Known for its strong swimming ability and elegant twin tail, the Wakin is hardy and active, making it an excellent choice for ponds or large aquariums.

Japan (selectively bred goldfish variety)

Feeding

• Omnivorous

• High-quality goldfish pellets or flakes

• Supplement with vegetables (peas, spinach)

• Occasional treats of live or frozen foods

• Avoid overfeeding to maintain water quality

Tank Mates

• Other Wakin and single-tail goldfish

• Comets, Shubunkins, Common goldfish

• Peaceful, cold-water species of similar size

• Avoid slow fancy goldfish in smaller tanks
