Red Chin Panchax Epiplatys Dageti 3cm Overview: The Red Chin Panchax, scientifically known as Epiplatys Dageti, is a strikingly beautiful freshwater fish, cherished for its vivid coloration and peaceful demeanor. It sports an elongated body with a distinctive red or orange hue on its chin, making it a captivating addition to any aquarium. Typically reaching up to 2.5 inches in length, these fish are perfect for small to medium-sized tanks. Origin: Native to the slow-moving and shallow waters of West Africa, Epiplatys Dageti thrive in environments that mimic their natural habitats. They are commonly found in areas with dense vegetation and a soft substrate. Feeding: Red Chin Panchax are omnivores with a preference for live foods. They thrive on a diet of small insects, brine shrimp, daphnia, and other microfauna. High-quality flake foods or freeze-dried foods can also be included in their diet to ensure proper nutrition. Tank Mates: These fish are peaceful and do well with other similarly sized and temperament species. Ideal tank mates include small tetras, rasboras, and other non-aggressive surface dwellers. Avoid larger or aggressive fish that may intimidate or harm them. Aggression: Epiplatys Dageti are known for their peaceful nature and are rarely aggressive towards other fish. However, males may show territorial behavior towards each other. Providing ample space and hiding spots can minimize any potential aggression. Experience Level: Suitable for both novice and experienced aquarists, the Red Chin Panchax is relatively easy to care for. Their adaptability and hardiness make them an excellent choice for those new to fish keeping, provided their basic care needs are met. Water Parameters:- Temperature: 72°F to 78°F (22°C to 26°C)
