In terms of feeding, the Red Neon Starfish is primarily a grazer, feeding on biofilm, algae, and small sponges. It can be supplemented with dried seaweed or small pieces of clam meat. When it comes to tank mates, the Red Neon Starfish is generally considered reef-safe, as it poses little threat to other invertebrates or corals. However, it should be kept in a reasonably large (50+ gallons) and mature aquarium with plenty of live rock for it to graze on.
