How do I use this Trace Elements Vanadium 150ml?

It's important to first check your reef tank's vanadium levels prior to any dosing. This is best done with a professional ICP test. These tests will not only tell you whether your vanadium levels need adjusting, but your levels of other trace elements too.

In seawater, vanadium concentration typically hovers around 1.8 µg/l. This is a good value to aim for while dosing, though concentrations of 35 µg/l can also have positive impacts on your aquarium's inhabitants. To dose, add 1ml of vanadium per 100L of saltwater. This will increase vanadium levels by 6 µg/l.

Vanadium can be removed from your aquarium very quickly, so dose regularly to keep your levels within an appropriate range. Make sure you also test regularly to avoid overdosing; too much vanadium isn't lethal, but it can darken your corals and increase algae growth.
