Reeves Chinese Pond Turtle Mauremys Reevesii Juvenile 5cm "Introducing the Reeves Chinese Pond Turtle (Mauremys reevesii), a captivating semi-aquatic species known for its striking appearance and manageable size. Originating from China and Japan, these turtles thrive in well-maintained aquatic environments. Feeding on a diet of pellets, insects, and occasional vegetables, Reeves's Turtles are omnivores and enjoy a diverse diet for optimal health. They generally do well with peaceful tank mates, such as small fish or compatible turtle species, in spacious aquatic setups. However, it's crucial to avoid housing them with aggressive or much larger tank companions to ensure their well-being. With a relatively moderate temperament, these turtles exhibit minimal aggression, making them suitable for turtle enthusiasts of varying experience levels. However, proper care, including maintaining suitable water parameters, is essential for their health and happiness. Aim for a spacious tank with clean, filtered water, maintaining a temperature between 75-85°F (24-29°C) and a pH level around 6.5-7.5 to mimic their natural habitat. For hobbyists seeking an engaging and visually appealing aquatic pet, the Reeves Chinese Pond Turtle is an excellent choice, promising years of enjoyment and companionship in a well-designed habitat."
