Overview: Corydoras Robustus, also known as the Robust Cory, are delightful and hardy aquarium fish renowned for their charming personalities and distinctive appearance. With their endearing behavior and unique markings, these small catfish add both character and functionality to your aquatic community. Origin: Hailing from the rivers and tributaries of South America, Corydoras Robustus are native to regions with slow-moving waters, such as the Rio Orinoco basin in Venezuela and Colombia. Their natural habitats are often characterised by sandy substrates and abundant vegetation. Feeding: Corydoras Robustus are omnivores with a penchant for both live and prepared foods. They eagerly accept high-quality sinking pellets, flakes, and frozen foods such as bloodworms and brine shrimp. A well-balanced diet will enhance their health and vibrancy. Tank Mates: Known for their peaceful nature, Corydoras Robustus make excellent tank mates for a variety of community fish. Compatible companions include other non-aggressive species like tetras, rasboras, and peaceful dwarf cichlids. Be sure to avoid keeping them with larger or more boisterous tank mates to prevent stress. Aggression: These charming catfish are among the most peaceful aquarium inhabitants. Corydoras Robustus thrive in groups, so keeping them in a small shoal enhances their well-being. Their gentle disposition makes them an ideal choice for community tanks. Experience Level: Corydoras Robustus are well-suited for aquarists of all experience levels. Their hardiness and adaptability make them forgiving for beginners, while their engaging behavior continues to captivate the interest of seasoned hobbyists. Water Parameters: Maintain a stable and clean aquarium environment for Corydoras Robustus. Keep the water temperature between 72°F to 78°F (22°C to 26°C) and maintain a slightly acidic to neutral pH level (6.5 to 7.5).
