The Rock Hopper Hawkfish is a vibrant and energetic reef fish, recognized for its bold patterns, spiny fins, and characteristic “hopping†behavior as it moves among rocks and corals. Its lively personality and perching habits make it a standout addition to marine aquariums.
Origin:
Native to the Indo-Pacific region, commonly found around coral reefs, rocky outcrops, and lagoons, where it perches and ambushes small prey.
Feeding:
Carnivorous – feeds on small crustaceans, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood. Multiple daily feedings are recommended to keep it healthy and active.
