Serpea Tetra Hyphessobrycon Eques 2cm "Meet the captivating Serpae Tetra (Hyphessobrycon eques), a vibrant and active species adding life to any aquarium! Originating from South America, these tetras thrive in well-maintained tanks with soft to slightly hard water (pH 5.5-7.5, temperature 72-78°F). Their fiery red fins and distinctive black body make them a stunning addition to community tanks. These omnivorous beauties enjoy a varied diet, happily accepting high-quality flakes, pellets, and occasional live or frozen treats like bloodworms or brine shrimp. Their peaceful demeanor makes them ideal tank mates for similarly sized peaceful fish such as other tetras, rasboras, and peaceful bottom dwellers like Corydoras catfish. Though generally peaceful, these tetras can sometimes display minor aggression among their own species or with long-finned tank mates, so it's best to keep them in groups of 6 or more to diffuse any potential conflicts. Their care requirements are moderate, making them suitable for aquarists with some experience in maintaining water quality and monitoring tank dynamics. Enliven your aquatic world with the Serpae Tetra, adding color, activity, and harmony to your community tank!"Above images for illustration purposes only.
