Short Finned Tandan Catfish Neosilurus Brevidorsarlis 20cm Overview: The Short Finned Tandan Catfish, known for its distinctive appearance and serene nature, originates from the freshwater rivers and streams of Australia. With its elegant streamlined body and striking patterns, this catfish species captivates aquarists seeking an intriguing addition to their tanks. Origin: Hailing from the pristine waters of Australia, these catfish are found in the northern regions, particularly in slow-moving waters and billabongs. Feeding: Primarily carnivorous, these catfish thrive on a diet consisting of live or frozen foods like bloodworms, shrimp, and sinking pellets. They appreciate a varied diet to ensure their optimal health and vibrancy. Tank Mates: Given their peaceful demeanor, Short Finned Tandan Catfish coexist harmoniously with similarly tranquil fish species such as peaceful tetras, rasboras, and small peaceful cichlids. Avoid pairing them with aggressive or overly territorial tank mates to prevent stress. Aggression: Not known for aggression, these catfish are peaceful and tend to keep to themselves. They prefer to explore the bottom of the tank, occasionally hiding among driftwood or plants.
