Sturgeon Catfish Platystomatichthys Sturio 15cm Overview: The Sturgeon Catfish, a captivating and prehistoric species, boasts an elongated body and unique whisker-like barbels. Originating from South America's river systems, these remarkable fish captivate enthusiasts with their ancient appearance and tranquil demeanor. Origin: Hailing from the depths of South American river systems, the Sturgeon Catfish thrives in slow-moving, well-oxygenated waters. Feeding: Primarily omnivorous, these gentle giants appreciate a varied diet consisting of sinking pellets, live or frozen foods like bloodworms, shrimp, and occasional plant matter. Tank Mates: Peaceful by nature, Sturgeon Catfish coexist harmoniously with similarly sized, non-aggressive tank mates such as larger tetras, peaceful cichlids, and bottom-dwelling species like Corydoras catfish. Aggression: Known for their docile temperament, Sturgeon Catfish exhibit minimal aggression, making them ideal additions to community aquariums.
